With the holiday season upon us, we pause to appreciate the blessings of the year and the meaningful connections we've made. We'd like to share a special holiday message from Ms. Luanne, our registered migration agent, as she reflects on the season and the journeys we've had the privilege of being a part of.

Christmas has always been my favorite season—it brings back memories of the happiest place to be during this time of year: the Philippines. For every Filipino, Christmas is more than just a holiday; it’s a celebration of love, togetherness, and joy that fills every home, every street, and every heart. Even those who are not Filipino often attest to how magical it feels to experience Christmas in the Philippines.

But for those of us here in Australia, this season is often bittersweet. It reminds us of the families we’ve left behind back home. Whether you’re here to study, to work, or to begin a new chapter as a migrant, Christmas carries with it a sense of longing—longing for familiar faces and places—and also a sense of gratitude. It’s a time to reflect on the sacrifices made and to be thankful for how far we’ve come.

This year, I am especially grateful for all the lives we’ve had the privilege to touch. Through the visas we’ve worked on, we’ve seen firsthand the strength and determination of people pursuing their dreams. I’ve witnessed parents selling their inheritance to fund their child’s student visa application. I’ve seen families make the heartbreaking decision to leave their children behind so they could build a better future here. I’ve met daughters who’ve left their elderly parents to follow their hearts and start anew with a partner visa. These sacrifices are not small—they reflect incredible courage and resilience, all in the hope of creating a better legacy for their families.

For me, Christmas is truly about love and sacrifice—just like that old Christmas story of a baby in a manger.

As we celebrate this Christmas, I want to take a moment to thank all the families who have sacrificed so much to bring their loved ones to Australia. Thank you for trusting us to be part of your journey. Your courage and determination inspire us every day, and it’s been an honor to walk this path with you.

May this Christmas fill your hearts with joy and your homes with love. From my family to yours, and on behalf of everyone at Legacy Migration, Merry Christmas and a season full of blessings!
