Bridging the Gap: Legacy Migration’s Role in Expanding International Opportunities for Students

Genre Eve Carbajosa

Have you ever looked back and felt the weight of missed opportunities or decisions left unmade? Choices that, had you made them earlier, might have changed the entire trajectory of your life? Are there lessons you’ve learned along the way—things you know now—that you wish you had understood sooner?

My name is Genre Eve, and I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management in 2012. As an undergraduate, I dreamed of working in the United States as a hotelier after graduation. This aspiration took root when an agency specializing in J-1 visas for the U.S. visited our school and introduced us to this exciting opportunity. However, due to unforeseen family circumstances, I was unable to pursue my application. At the time, it was the only international pathway I knew of, and without the widespread access to Google we have today, I didn’t think to explore other options. I had no idea which agencies to approach or where to begin.

It wasn’t until two years ago, after joining Legacy Migration, that I discovered the work and study opportunities available in Australia. When I finally understood how the process worked, I couldn’t help but think, If only I had known about this sooner, I would’ve taken the chance. By now, I could have been a Permanent Resident. Another thought followed: If only an Australian agency had visited my college back then to present this option, I could have explored it. And lastly, If only I had taken the initiative to research other countries where I could pursue my dreams. But at that time, those opportunities seemed out of reach.

If only I could turn back time.

This is the heart of what Legacy Migration advocates—making information free and accessible to all. I believe that somewhere out there, another young person, just like I once was, lacks the information that could change the course of their life. Legacy Migration is here to share the incredible opportunities that Australia offers to aspiring young professionals—opportunities to study, work, and eventually migrate.

So, how is Legacy Migration bridging this gap? We are actively reaching out to schools and universities across the Philippines to inform students about the student pathway. Whether it's senior high school students considering undergraduate studies, college graduates looking to pursue further education, or professionals interested in a PhD in Australia, our mission is to make these possibilities known. Australia offers life-changing opportunities, and we are passionate about helping people seize them.

At Legacy Migration, we offer free consultations to those interested in exploring these options. You can trust that we will be with you every step of the way, providing sound education and migration advice. There’s no need to worry about which agencies to approach or whether you can trust them—we’re here to help you start your Australian journey with confidence, offering guidance and support throughout the process.

Legacy Migration has successfully conducted several school tours across the Philippines, bringing our message directly to students and educators. We’ve had the privilege of visiting STI West Negros University in Bacolod City in, Negros Occidental, Pasig Catholic College in Pasig City, Metro Manila, and Silliman University in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental. This November 2024, we are scheduled to visit an international school in Ortigas, Pasig, as part of our ongoing efforts. See here to read about our school tours: School Tour | Legacy Migration

We are continually expanding our reach, connecting with more schools to ensure that students across the country have access to the information and opportunities that could shape their futures in Australia.

Let Legacy Migration be your trusted partner in unlocking international opportunities for your students, helping them embark on life-changing adventures in the land down under.
