This course teaches the necessary skills and critical core competencies such as communication, leadership, professionalism, knowledge, and business skills.
IHNA School of Allied Health and Human Services
CHC33021 – Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing and Disability)
This course reflects the role of individuals in the community, home, or residential care setting who work under supervision and delegation as a part of a multi-disciplinary team, following an individualised plan to provide person-centred support to people who may require support due to ageing, disability or some other reason.
These individuals take responsibility for their outputs within the scope of their job role and delegation. Workers have a range of factual, technical, and procedural knowledge, as well as some theoretical knowledge of the concepts and practices required to provide person-centred support.
The skills in this course must be applied by Commonwealth and State/Territory legislation, Australian standards and industry codes of practice.
To achieve this course, the student must have completed at least 120 hours of work as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of the units of competency.
IHNA School of Nursing
HLT54121 – Diploma of Nursing is a nationally accredited course that supersedes HLT54115 - Diploma of Nursing. This 18-month course delivers the essential nursing skills and knowledge required to be eligible as an Enrolled Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA).
Infection Control Skill Set
This course has been superseded by HLTSS00083 – Infection Prevention and Control Skill Set. IHNA is awaiting the approval process for the new course. You can still enroll in this course and will be notified if you need to migrate to the subsequent edition whenever it becomes available.
Infection control standards in different job roles across Australia have been impacted by COVID-19. This short course will provide specialized training for individuals to respond appropriately to reduce or minimise the risk and transmission of communicable diseases such as COVID-19. A set of skills to follow organisational infection prevention and control policies and procedures, including implementing standard and transmission-based precautions and responding to infection risks in the workplace.
To support Australia to recover from the economic crisis and to rebuilt the workforce, there is a huge demand for trained workers who will help to bring back confidence in customers. It will also help to minimise the spread of the pandemic COVID-19.
